Christopher Collins has been involved with the marching arts as a performer since 2010 and just concluded his sixth and final season with the Jacksonville State University Marching Southerners. Preparing to enter his final semester as an undergraduate student of music education at Jacksonville State, Chris has studied percussion with Dr. Thomas McCutchen, Clint Gillespie, Dr. Andrew Lynge, Dr. Matthew Jordan, and Sean Womack. During his time at Jacksonville State, he performed with the University’s percussion ensembles, pit orchestra, Acapella Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Winds as well as various independent gigs. Chris has worked as an educator and arranger for the marching arts at several high school programs across northern Alabama and Georgia. This will be his fourth year on percussion staff for Southern Knights Drum and Bugle Corps.
